Do you support all existing and previous Apple iPod models?

 

We carry a large inventory of batteries used to support both the iPod and iPhone.  We build our services to meet the needs of our customers and execute quicker than our competitors.

 


 

How do you handle Do-It-Yourself customer?

 

Feeling technical and adventurous?  All the battery products we sell contain tools and instructions for battery replacement.  The instructions provide a step by step guide through the whole replacement process.  Prior to ordering the battery you should review the installation difficulty level for your device.  This information is located on the website next to the battery description.  There are many iPod and iPhone models that require varying degrees of technical expertise.  If you don't feel comfortable replacing the battery yourself TopTechies can install it for you.

 


Why do you recommend Pro Installation for the iPhone?

The iPhone has the highest installation difficulty rating.  The original iPhone requires a soldering gun to complete installation so soldering skills is a requirement.  In addition, the iPhone has a greater level of disassembly that is required to access the battery bay.  The case can be prone to scratches and scuffs if proper care is not taken.  TopTechies has developed a dedicated service offering to ensure fast, professional installation.  We offer a standard 24hr installation service from the time we receive your iPhone.  Re-energize life through TopTechies Pro Installation replacement service.
 

Why don't you offer Pro Installation for all iPods?

The build tolerances on the iPod's are extremely tight.  This make's it very difficult to open the cases on some models without damaging the case.  We don't offer mail-in installation services for these models.  These models include the iPod Classic, 5th Generation Video, & iPod Touch. We provide installation services for all remaining models in addition to the iPhone.


Can you explain the data privacy policy?

How are the iPod and iPhone batteries packaged?

All of our batteries are packaged in a professional blister pack.  The blister pack contains everything you need to be successful in replacing your battery including tools and instructions. 


What if I order the wrong battery?
 
As long as you notify us within 30 days of receiving the battery we can perform an exchange.  We'll work with you to identify the battery type for your specific iPod.  Our goal is 100% customer satisfaction.
 

What if I try to install the battery myself and I'm unable to complete it? 
 
We do have customers that start the installation and find they are in over their heads from a technical standpoint.  Our trained technicians are here to help.  You always have the option of mailing in the battery and iPhone into customer service for installation.  Contact our customer service and we will walk you through the process.
 

How can you offer a 10-year warranty on the battery?
 
To start it's important that we match our competitors service offerings in order to remain competitive.  We are constantly evaluating industry pricing and service levels in order to maintin our edge.  To accomplish this, we manage efficient operations and leverage our pricing power to offset the higher warranty level.
 
The warranty is not transferrable and must be submitted by the original purchaser.  The original purchase email or receipt must be maintained and sent with the defective battery.  We offer a single replacement per original battery.  The warranty does not include labor to replace the battery or any of the shipping costs involved in the transaction.  If you would like us to perform the installation our standard rates will apply.
 

 
Can I pay with a check for TopTechies products and services?
 
Yes, we do allow payment through bank checks.  We do not ship product until the check clears so this does delay shipment 4-6 days.  The check can be mailed to the address located on the about us web link.
